Every day we need our bones and joints to help us move freely and easily. However we often take movement and range of motion for granted until it decreases or becomes impaired. More and more people are suffering from many kinds of arthritis. Arthritis refers to joint disease, which is painful inflammation and stiffness of the joints.

Many suffering from arthritis turn to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to manage the chronic pain, inflammation and swelling. But there's a more natural alternative that you should turn to that may be more effective in treating arthritic conditions, turmeric. Turmeric is a powerful healing herb that is extremely anti-inflammatory, therefore making it a great pain reliever. Curcumin, the main active ingredient in turmeric, exerts powerful antioxidant effects. When our body has free radicals and other toxic chemicals it damages healthy cells in our bodies. Free radicals lead to painful joint inflammation and many diseases. Turmeric helps rid and eliminate the body of these harmful toxins that contribute to these illnesses. COX-2 is an enzyme responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation; however, turmeric specifically blocks and inhibits this enzyme, helping relieve the discomforts of arthritis.

Chronic, long-term use of NSAIDs and other prescription drugs come with unwanted side effects, nutrient depletion and damage to the liver or kidneys. There is plenty of natural remedy through turmeric, without the worry of any toxic side effects. You can remedy the discomforts of arthritis by regularly drinking any one of the Turmeric Teas signature tea blends, therapeutically through supplementation or by applying it topically.
