Turmeric Cider or as I like to call it Golden Cider has been our drink of choice for those cold evenings when we crave something sweet and warm.

I am a big believer in making things that are good for us "taste good". I believe if we want to incorporate something in our diets that we normally don't eat it needs to be 

  • Easy to incorporate &
  • Taste good

Golden cider is just one of those recipes, so delicious and so easy to make that you will not even know how good it is for you.

Turmeric is loaded with anti-inflammatory benefits and many healing properties that people in India have taken advantage of over the years. In this recipe we combine turmeric and ginger, both anti-inflammatory powerhouse with super warming spices like cinnamon, cloves and of course black pepper. You might know adding a bit of black pepper increases the bio availability of turmeric, but did you know it increases it by 2000%. This is the reason all of our Turmeric Teas blends have just a hint of black pepper, enough to boost the absorption by whooping 2000%

Here is the recipe:

Serves 2

Ingredients: 

  1. Organic WINTER blend - 1 Tsp
  2. Water - 1 Cup
  3. Organic apple juice - 1 cup

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a small pot and bring to boil. Cook on medium high for another 2 minutes. Turn the heat off and let the spices steep for 5 minutes before serving.

Try it tonight and you will know why this has become our drink of choice.
